Communicating climate change in Tunisia, Egypt and Mauritania - with lessons for North Africa and the Levant region

Registration is closed for this event
Climate Outreach and partners present the results of a two-year citizen science project exploring people’s perceptions of climate change across three countries in North Africa: Tunisia, Egypt and Mauritania.

Can't join us live? Sign up anyway and we'll send you the recording.

The report presents recommendations on effective communication of climate change in a part of the world that is one of the most vulnerable to climate change - but where few previous efforts have been made to explore how to engage people in terms that resonate with people’s culture and experience. The project has sought out communities rarely, if ever, consulted about climate change, including people with disabilities, rural women, fishermen and people with low levels of literacy and limited access to formal education. Speakers will discuss the key recommendations from the project and discuss the experience and lessons learned in working on an innovative international piece of communications research.
