Fairness and the cost of net zero: Recommendations for engaging Conservative-leaning Britain Talks Climate segments

Registration is closed for this event
This timely webinar will be an opportunity to discuss the recommendations for net zero communication with Conservative leaning Britain Talks Climate (BTC) segments, the role of fairness in public engagement strategies and the implications of continuing energy price rises for net zero support.

This webinar has now passed, but you can still sign up to receive the recording.

The webinar will present the results from a survey and workshops with selected BTC segments completed between January and February 2022.

Climate Outreach will be updating their online BTC toolkit with the results of this research and summarising the results and recommendations from this project in the form of a slidedeck. At the webinar, researchers Dr Susie Wang, Emma James and Luisa Melloh will present findings and recommendations from the research. Our Director of Programmes and Research Dr Amiera Sawas and Research Lead Dr Chris Shaw will connect these findings to the broader climate public engagement context and previous Britain Talks Climate knowledge. Together they will explore how these findings can be used to underpin ongoing net zero engagement.

There will be a Q&A session at the end of the event.

The Britain Talks Climate segmentation comes from a collaboration between Climate Outreach, More in Common, the European Climate Foundation (ECF) and YouGov. Britain Talks Climate followed the release of More in Common’s Britain’s Choice report.
